“Wow, where do I even begin? The last few months have been deeply invested in working with childhood traumas and triggers. The last relationship I was in really threw me for a loop, as it was long distance but not strictly emotional in nature. When the other person decided to break up with me when I was experiencing a difficult emotional time, and I was noticing patterns that I did not want to facilitate anymore, I began the arduous journey of finding their origins. I realized I needed to be finding resources to help me figure out what to do next and diligently implementing the exercises and techniques I was finding along the way.

Enter, the Lucia Light. I went into one of my favorite shops, and one of the owners told me about her experience and sent me home with a pamphlet. She explained the practitioner would be in their shop a few times a week over the next couple of weeks and it really piqued my interest hearing the firsthand account. I went home and checked out the website and was guided by my intuition to go to the session the next day. I was a little nervous, not knowing what to expect. I knew I just had to go in with an open mind and open heart.

The practitioner was so warm and welcoming and held such a comforting space for my experience. After a brief description of what I had been working through, she proceeded to give me a few 2 minute demos to see where I felt most comfortable, as the intensities of the lights varied greatly. I was provided noise cancelling headphones and some soothing sound bowls and rain sticks to listen to through the light experience. It blew me away. I am a consistent meditator, and so I got into that space within myself and it was like nothing I had ever experienced before. Throughout the experience, I was deeply relaxed and really enjoying the visuals. They seemed to sync with the sounds (I later learned this is called synesthesia) and provided a real show behind my eyelids.

After that first experience, I noticed for the entire week following, my dreams were WAY more detailed and intense. (In a very good way) The dreams also seem to hold gems pertaining directly to the issues that I’ve been looking at/working through, so that was also a happy bonus. I’m feeling more determined and motivated with diet and exercise changes I’ve been trying so hard for so long to implement into my life. I’m feeling less anxiety in everyday situations and overall more confident and capable. It’s just mind blowing how I can feel the difference in my physical body, too. Realizing that we hold traumas in the physical body, and that leads to nervous system deregulation has been a huge puzzle piece to uncover. This light has helped calm my nervous system in palpable ways, and it has bled over into my everyday life.

After the second session, which was completely visually different than the first, as soon as I walked outside, I was noticing a difference in the vibrancy of the colors in the sky, in flowers/vegetation, in the ocean… I felt/feel a happiness in the core of my being that has only ever touched my life in brief places/moments. It’s sticking around and it’s giving me a real sense of how important it is to love myself, and how to value myself. Deciding to do the first session has been a real game-changer in this healing journey and I can honestly say I’m hooked. The science behind it is just as fascinating as the journey it provides. I am so grateful to have found this light and honored to share my experience in hopes it can help someone else make a conscious step toward a modality in healing that is truly remarkable.
